Jonesboro Municipal Building
The Jonesboro Municipal Building serves the City of Jonesboro as a maintenance facility for city-owned vehicles, with attached office space for the staff who run that operation. The site was an empty lot when work began, and the program called for a single, durable, ground-up structure scaled to 21,000 square feet.
Studio RNB served as Architect of Record. We documented the building through a permit-ready and construction-ready set, working alongside the project team to clear municipal inspections and meet the health, safety, and welfare standards that civic work requires. The drawings carried the project from a site that was empty to a building that holds up to daily municipal use.
The work focused on what a public client actually needs from documentation. The set had to be unambiguous, code-compliant, and inspector-ready from the first review. Civic projects do not get the luxury of repeated re-submittal cycles; the documentation has to be right the first time. The construction administration role required the same discipline: questions answered fast, clarifications written clearly, and changes documented so the public record stays clean.
The building is complete and in active use. It does the work it was designed to do and reads, from the outside, like a quiet civic facility rather than a warehouse with offices attached.
