Robinson Martin Road Church is a 7,000 SF new church facility on a vacant lot in Georgia. The congregation needed a building large enough to seat their growing assembly, and the program called for a sanctuary that holds 205 worshipers plus the support spaces that round a total assembly occupancy out to 270.

Studio RNB serves as Architect of Record. The site began as vacant land. The existing church had outgrown its current footprint, and the new building had to absorb the full Sunday count while making room for fellowship, kitchen support, classrooms, and the staff offices that keep a church running through the week.

Studio RNB documented the project through construction documents and a permit set, and is now working alongside the project team to push the permit application through jurisdictional review. Assembly occupancy is the design constraint that drives every code decision: exit width, egress travel distance, fire separation between the sanctuary and the fellowship hall, ADA seating, the children's classroom adjacencies, and the structural reading of the long-span gable that covers the sanctuary. The drawings address each of those line by line so the inspector reading them has no ambiguity to resolve.

The project is still in permitting. When approval clears, the congregation will move into a building scaled to the size they have actually become.
